God made men in his image. Adam and Eve, the first humans, received the command to multiply and dominate the earth (Gen 2:28). After the deluge, Noah received the same command (Gen 9:7). And we still are called to reign with God over the earth.

The human in this painting is painted in tone (black and white). This represent the earthly dimension. The human wears the heavenly regals: a crown, a sceptre and an orb. The crown represent the heavenly identity: he is a king. The sceptre represents the power: God has given us His power. The orb respresent the territory in which the king is allowed to reign. We all have been given our own unique territory to reign with God.

I have the impression that God invites us to reign with Him over the territory that He has assigned to each one of us. If we reign with Him, His light will shine in the darkness. Gods light is pure and full, like white light. White light contains many colors and is broken in a specific color through a specific medium. Each one of us breaks His light differently and all these colors together are beautiful and one. Are you ready to reign? And to shine His light in the darkness?
